Modest Cremation Alternative provides dignified, low-cost direct cremation and burial throughout the National Capital Region, the Ottawa Valley and Lanark County. Both options below are complete, all-inclusive prices with HST already included. Effective May 1, 2026.

- Administrative vehicle transfer to the cemetery
Optional additions include a Private Identification for up to ten family members ($675) and Aftercare Estate Services to assist with Canada Pension and notification documents ($375). Transfers beyond 50 km are $3.00 per kilometre, one way. Cemetery and interment charges are set by the cemetery and are separate.

Cremation or Burial
Cremation takes place with Pinecrest Crematorium and the ashes are returned to you, or we complete the burial as arranged.

If the death occurred at home, contact local emergency services immediately. In a hospital, hospice or nursing home, the attending staff will assist you and complete the initial steps.
